Manager - So the requirement is out of scope. Ok ,ask for a change request.
S/w Engg - Yes I asked but the client is asking for a proof to make it a CR. He is saying its clear from the requirements.
Manager - Ok lets not push too much as we are under discussion for our next project with them.
Let me know the estimate. We will adjust that effort in the estimate we are giving for next project.

Manager - So you want to go to onsite?
S/w Engg - Yes.
Manager - See we are getting a project in here.It needs a lead position and I was about to recommend you name. Currently in onsite we have only a test position open in US. So what would you like to do?
S/w Engg - Ok whats about this new project? ....

And he stays back.... After another 6 months....

S/W Engg- You said the new project will come. For last six months I am reading J2EE as you said that would be needed. Are we getting this project?
Manager - Actually it might not come.
S/W Engg - Oh no.. Any onsite opening?
Manager - We need a system tester in Uruguy. Would you be interested?
S/W engg - Hmmmmm. OK

Customer - In last release only you said this bug will be corrected. This is still not corrected.
This is very critical for us.
S/W Engg - Actually the bug is corrected , but it's not working when its integrated with one of your system.
Customer - Ok , did you identify the root cause?
S/W Engg - Yes , but that change might need a design change.
Customer - Any workaround?
S/W Engg - Yes.
Customer -Ok for this release workaround will be ok.
...And this continues release after release..

Manager: You should complete the appraisal form as soon as possible. This is very important for your future prospects.
S/W Engg- Will it be linked to our salary?
Manager - Not exactly , this is linked to your performance.
S/W Engg- Ya but performance is linked to salary rite?
Manager - It depends. If the market is good it's your performance else it's company's performance.

Manager- Ya, I understand its weekend but we have a serious deliverable. You have to come.
Don't worry you can get a complimentary holiday.
S/W Engg: When?
Manager:Next weekend.

In a time when we don't even know who stays in our neighborhood but have 97 friends in the orkut the cheer is missing.
The time is missing when you were really in physical company of many people who can really cheer with you.
Now people are just stressed out if they don't receive a scrap on his/her new posted pics.
Really what a time we are living in...
